Beth Macrae, licsw
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Greater Boston, MA
I consider my role as therapist to create a collaborative space to authentically explore your personal strengths, abilities, and vulnerabilities through empathic support and optimism for positive change. I strive to create a safe place where issues or patterns can be identified and explored. I appreciate the whole person as a means to make sense of your experiences and behaviors. I am here to walk your journey with you while providing insight into what makes you who you are and providing tools for growth. I believe therapy is a place of compassion, warmth, acceptance, and authenticity.
My clinical experience includes community mental health, school-based therapy, inpatient and residential care, as well as private practice. I have over 15 years experience working with clients. I love working with clients around navigating life's transitions and have extensive experience working with depression, anxiety, trauma, and family/relationship strain to name a few. I draw from and have extensive training in multiple treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Emotionally focused therapy (EFT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS), with the goal of meeting every client where they are.
It is a true pleasure to be present with my clients. It would be an honor to hear your story.
Beth has completed advanced training in EFCT (Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy).
